Apolpaina
High above Lefkada Town, against the green hillsides of Apolpaina, lies a building plot of approximately 2,140 m² with panoramic views across the town and the surrounding Ionian landscape. For this distinctive setting, TAZLAB Architects designed two cave houses, with the architecture almost entirely integrated into the natural slope of the land.
The design makes use of the pronounced changes in elevation across the site. Both residences are largely embedded into the hillside and open towards the expansive views at the front. Generous terraces and private swimming pools form a natural extension of the living spaces. Positioned at different levels, each residence establishes its own relationship with the landscape.
According to the design, the two cave houses offer 171.89 m² and 198.70 m² of internal space respectively, with corresponding outdoor areas of 209 m² and 232 m².
The plot is offered including the architectural study by TAZLAB Architects and a granted building permit, providing a well-developed starting point for the realisation of a distinctive residential project on Lefkada.

Lefkada Town, with its historic centre, marina, restaurants and waterfront, is close by. From Lefkas Marina, the Ionian islands of Meganisi, Kalamos and Kastos can be explored by boat, while the bridge to the mainland provides a direct connection towards Aktion International Airport.
